They don't bring down the empire of course. It needs to still be there when the TOS bunch cross over. I never screw with canon unless I really, really want to. And if I do I always have a good excuse.

Maybe these Trip and T'Po (as the others of MU) can appear unpleasant, but I didn't get this impression. It's unbelievable the ability you displayed in showing inside them a hidden, submerged nuance of feelings, which struggles to emerge from the fog of this universe.
Splendid job! Splendid chapter! Splendid story!

I have to say a thing, a strange thing. You said the characters in this story are bad, hard, harsh, sharp. This is the Mirror Universe, after all. Maybe. But you, BnB, are not of this bad universe, and, perhaps without you noticing what you were doing (but I don't believe this), a tenuous light is shining through it: it is the real relationship which is finally exploding between Trip and T'Pol.
You rock, BnB. Literally.

Aw. I like Hess. She's not a bad person, she just wants to kill T'Pol is all.

Yeah, the bond is working on Trip despite himself. Once the connection is made, I don't think either of them would have any choice in the matter really. Way i see it, the only way T'Pol was able to hold him off as long as she did was by putting everything she had into maintaining her shields. Now that the connection is solid, I figure they are stuck. Neither of them may like it, but they might as well learn to deal with it.

Finally. And surprise the bond is doing what it supposed to. I was confused as to what Tucker was thinking. Mate, mother of his child but no real relationship with T'Pol seemed ridiculous. Glad to see him go off on Hess. She's definitely not one of my favs in this universe possibly because she's interfering in my favorite couples lives. So glad you found your muse. Keep it up I'm liking this more and more as you go.
